The Gem & Mineral Club works in the Lapidary. This is where we cut and polish stone to make clocks, jewelry, and other items. We also do wire wrapping and other forms of jewelry making.
The Lapidary opens at 9:00 am. We try to have a monitor on site to answer questions and help instruct anyone needing help. We hold safety classes for all our members who wish to learn how to use the different saws and grinders. We do have members who use the Lapidary during the summer.
Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month, generally starting in November. We will discuss field trips to collect specimens and upcoming Gem and Mineral shows throughout the state. Club dues are $10 each year.
